Vacation was GREAT....but it's always good to be back home! This week has been a lot of getting back into the routine of things. Also wonderful to see Alexa again...I was really starting to miss her!!
In other news...Alexa is starting her modeling career next Wednesday the 4th! I had her in the pool area at the Y one day and a lady swimming laps was gushing over her and asked if I minded if she could be a model for Jolesch photography? At first I didn't know what to think, but then gave her my name and number. She called yesterday and we have it scheduled. She is going to use one of the pictures in their main lobby...poster size! And possibly use some of the pictures in one of their mailings. I get a free 8x10 out of the deal, and no sitting fee of course!
Alexa is also starting to walk! She takes any where up to 7-8 steps and then either falls or decides it's easier to crawl! I'm happy and sad at the same time. Happy she is progressing so well for 10 months and sad that my baby isn't going to be a baby for long...she'll be a VERY mobile toddler!

The 4Runner can off-road
Here are the 4 of us down by Mohawk lake after a little off-roading. The 4Runner held up awesome for this part.
Here is the 4Runner showing off its off-road skills. This was the end point of a 1/2 mile jeep trail. I was VERY nervous!! It definitely was more off-road than going to Mohawk lake!! We were too nervous to stop and take some pics while actually on the jeep trail!!

slow news week
Not a lot happening in the Sedore household this week. Kyle and I are getting ready to head out to Breckenridge, CO for the week. Alexa is going to stay with G'ma & G'pa Sedore while we are there. We are going with friends of ours and hope to get LOTS of bike riding in. Especially the guys. I guess they have some 6am rides planned! I'll be enjoying my sleeping in for the week!
Will try and post some pics while we are out there!

Thought for the day...Respect
We have 4 main core values that we follow at the YMCA....the first is Respect....just remember that if you respect yourself....others will respect you too!
"Don't rely on someone else for your happiness and self worth. Only you can be responsible for that. If you can't love and respect yourself - no one else will be able to make that happen. Accept who you are - completely! The good and the bad - and make changes as YOU see fit - not because you think someone else wants you to be different".
and
There comes a time when you have to stand up and shout: "THIS IS ME DAMN IT! I look the way I look, think the way I think, feel the way I feel, love the way I love! I am a whole complete package. Take me...or leave me. Accept me...or walk away! Do not try to make feel like less of a person just because I don't fit your idea of who I should be and don't try to change me to fit your mold. If I need to change, I alone will make that decision".
When you are strong enough to love yourself 100%, good and bad...you will be amazed at the opportunities that life presents you!

24-hour Weekend
We have Alexa back and the week was good. I got some stuff done and some time to help out at the Y and get ready for the 24-hour race.
The race went good. Kyle's team was in second starting the night, but decided that they were all tired and didn't really care if they got a prize or not so they stopped for the night and got some rest. Congrats to Jane for doing her first night lap! She pushed herself past her comfort zone and enjoyed it!
