We had a Sale??

Wow! I would have never guessed that a garage sale could be as slow as ours was!! The weather was great, but the people just weren't there! Still made a few bucks and Kyle's parents got to spend a couple of days with their granddaughter. So it was all good!

This coming week Kyle and I will be childless as my Mom and Sis are going to babysit for the week. I have to help with the pool cleaning and there is no child watch this week. So Mom being the great Grandma she is was willing to babysit! Alexa will also get to spend a couple of days with her Aunt Tracee and Uncle Ted and their 4 kids! What a change that will be for her!

In addition to working at the Y, I am also having my Open House for the Gold Canyon Candles! I'm hoping this will be a good kickstart to my career as a demonstrator. I have some good little incentives for the night and it will be fun to see who all comes! If anyone is reading this and didn't get an invite it wasn't because I didn't want you there, I just had a hard time remembering everyone!
The Open House is Tues and Thurs from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Feel free to stop by and bring a friend.
Have a great week everyone!

3/4 of a year old!

Alexa had her 9 month check-up today. She's very healthy and growing good. Here are the stats:
weight: 18 lbs 3 oz - 45% on charts
height: 28 in - 55% on charts
head: 17 1/2 in - 55% on charts

So she's finally growing into her big head, and it looks like she is going to be long and skinny. HHMM imagine that!
No shots today, but 1 year check-up will be fun with 3 shots and blood work! Help me now! hee hee

What a week!

The week started good and then on Tuesday WHAM...rear-ended on the way to the store! We are all OK, just the usual neck strain for Kyle and I. Alexa never showed any signs of injury. Then all the dealing with the insurance co. But I have to admit, they have been very good so far. We already have the Mountaineer fixed too...that's how good it's been!

Kyle was supposed to head to Cedar Rapids this past weekend, but after a call from his Dad the trip was called off. Tony was sick and the Dr advised for them to stay away! On Sat. I still got to have some time to myself and went and had a manicure and pedicure done and then went to the State Fair that night to the Nadas show. It was nice to have a night with the girls and have Daddy and Alexa spend some time together.

This coming week is just a lot of work at the Y and getting ready for the garage sale in Cedar Rapids on the 25th and 26th. Hopefully we'll be able to ride bike to work most of the days as it looks like it is only supposed to get to the mid/upper 80's.

Have a great week!

New Venture!

I also would like to let everyone know that I am starting on a new venture! I am going to be a Gold Canyon Candle Independent Demonstrator!
I love these candles and thought that since I buy so many of them I would join the team!

Watch for emails on specials and my first ever Open House!

Done with sickness!

It's been quite a couple of weeks, but I think we are all better now. It started with Alexa getting sick and not eating right for 3-4 days, then Kyle got sick (and he doesn't get this sick very often). I never was as bad as those two but weak and run down! We are all feeling much better now!!!

Sunday the 23rd we went to the Toyota Co. Picnic and won a new Sony Handycam camcorder. They give out some really cool prizes! Just enough time to get some practicing in before Alexa's first birthday! I was so excited and it's VERY easy to use.

Not much else happening. Kyle was supposed to race on the 30th, but due to being sick just went along with the guys and observed. So still no current race photos to post.

Alexa wanted you to see these pictures.....
I take big girl baths now...I love to play with my ducks (I'm eating my blue one here) and get Mom all wet!

Sometimes I attack the camera and Mom gets funny pics like this!
Take Care everyone and I hope to post more sooner next time!
